American Executive CentersWith the continuation of our troops stationed abroad in Afghanistan and Iraq, it's still so important that we keep the men and women fighting to protect our country at the forefront of our minds. A great way to honor our nation's soldiers' is a program we put in place at the start of the Afghanistan war called, "Operation Care Package."

The program, like others of its kind, is designed to reach out to the many men and women serving our country overseas. This is done through sending much needed food or supply care packages directly to the troops, which are donated by American Executive Centers' staff, clients, business associates, friends and family. In many instances the sender and the troop can correspond over the internet or by letters - another form of support greatly needed for our troops.

Most recently our staff sent a care package to Lt. Col Thomas M. Fahy, brother to our Philadelphia Center Manager, Kathy Fahy.  With 600 marines under his command, Lt. Col Thomas M. Fahy was deployed to Afghanistan on September 8, 2010.  Another care package was mailed to MK2 Frank C. Levitsky, also deployed to Afghanistan.  MK2 Frank C. Levitsky is the son of the FedEx carrier assigned to our American Executive Centers' King of Prussia location.  Both packages included a variety of useful items, such as razors, tube socks, tooth paste, deodorant, Wet Ones, storage bags (used to keep supplies dry in the field), hand sanitizer, juice packs, hot chocolate, beef jerky, and other snacks such as, cookies, granola bars, trail mix, and more.

In addition to these items, Lt. Col Fahy, a native of Philadelphia, requested Tastykakes, so we were sure to include a few boxes of these Philly treats in his care package. Because we appreciate what these men and women are sacrificing to ensure our freedom, all of us at American Executive Centers love organizing and sending Operation Care Packages.  We will be sending additional packages next quarter (April), so if anyone has a relative or friend who is deployed, or just wants to get involved and help out, please email us the soldier's address and we will be sure to include them. Participation in Operation Care Package can also be as simple as making a $50 sponsorship donation through your Center, which can be billed to your American Executive Centers invoice or paid separately by check. Packages are being collected at all seven American Executive Centers - King of Prussia, Plymouth Meeting, Radnor, Exton, Bala Cynwyd, Philadelphia, and Marlton, NJ. The care packages are forwarded through proper channels to ensure that they are received by troops to enjoy.
