Anne SenskiThanks to the support of our clients, staff and family members, our efforts to help spread the message of hope to so many people in need this past holiday season was a real success! The gift of giving back to families in need in the communities of our seven centers was greatly appreciated by all local charities selected by our Center Managers. Here's what each charity had to say about our holiday drives...

Center City:  PathWays PA's Adopt-a-Family

Pam Przybylski, Communications & Development Coordinator, Pathways PA Adopt-a-Family program commented in a letter to Center City American Executive Centers, "On behalf of PathWays PA, I would like to thank you for making the holiday season bright for a low-income family in the Greater Philadelphia Region. Your kindness has made a great difference, and everyone in the PathWays PA family truly appreciates your support. Please enjoy your holiday with the knowledge that you have made this season much brighter for a family that would not have been able to provide gifts for each other without your generosity. Many thanks again for participating in PathWays PA's 2011 Adopt-a-Family program!

Bala Cynwyd:  Methodist Family Services of Philadelphia

The Methodist Family Services of Philadelphia, a charity that provides social services and intensive family support to provide permanent homes for children, was very pleased to receive a check for $200. We thank our staff and clients for their support in our fundraiser!

Plymouth Meeting:  Missionary Sisters of Charity

The sisters were very happy with our generous donations of rice, beans, flour and sugar.  They planned on using these food items in their soup kitchen on Sundays and to give out to the poor Latino families in the area.  We also brought leftover food from the Christmas party.   There were many women staying at the shelter at that time; they all helped us bring the food into the kitchen at their DeKalb Street location.  I know they, and the homeless in the area, enjoyed the many trays from Whole Foods.

King of Prussia:  Boyertown Area Multi Service Food Pantry

Once again, American Executive Centers King of Prussia donated canned food and check donations to the Boyertown area food bank.  Gwen Donnon says, "The supervisor was moved to tears when our communications coordinator, Cindy, dropped the cans and checks off...she said we are one of a handful of businesses in the area that continue to support them!

Radnor:  St. Marks Food Bank in Broomall

According to St. Mark's church in Broomall, the donations that the Radnor American Executive Centers donated helped feed 72 local people in Delaware County over the holidays and into the first two weeks of January. "Without our support, they would not have been able to feed these 72 people. They were immensely thankful for our help," says Dana Long, Radnor Center Manager.

Malvern:  Lords Pantry of Downingtown

The $500 Malvern's team and clients raised enabled Malvern American Executive Centers to adopt a family of three young girls and their parents to provide for at the holiday season.  The adopted family received a gift certificate to their local grocery store and a donation of $100 to the Lords Pantry of Downingtown.  "Because we were able to raise a nice size donation, we were able to fulfill each girl's gift wish list, which included a bicycle, a baby and carriage, a purse and some clothes. We also purchased some little gifts to accompany the "big" gifts. We really enjoyed the good will... our hearts felt so big and full of love!" commented Danielle Byrd, Malvern Center Manager.
