Want free pizza and a fun opportunity to connect with other professionals in the Greater Philadelphia area? We at American Executive Centers are partnering with the City Avenue Business Alliance and California Pizza Kitchen to offer a networking event at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday, October 13th at our Bala Cynwyd location (Two Bala Plaza, Suite 300, Bala Cynwyd, PA). Parking will be available in the garage behind Saks Fifth Avenue on City Avenue. Here are more details and the way to reserve your spot!
And did we mention the free pizza catered by California Pizza Kitchen?
The event will include a tour of our Bala Cynwyd offices, so if you have ever wanted to learn about the benefits of our offices, having a virtual office, or using our business-support services, this Thursday will be the perfect time to do so.
You may be asking yourself, "And what about the networking?". Well, in a prior post entitled "Networking Tips and Resources in Philadelphia," we listed some local groups and organizations as well as offered some general advice on effective networking (even if you're shy). In that same spirit, we wanted to give some more pointers to help our clients and readers:
- CBS MoneyWatch tells how to network without looking "desperate"
- The Globe and Mail explains why "it's not who you know, it's who knows you"
- The Times Union explores the eight keys to effective networking
- Strategic Business Network offers an essay specifically on following through after you've initially met someone (just ignore some of the bad formatting of the article)
So, we're wondering: Which of these tips will people use on Thursday? (Don't worry - there won't be an exam! Just pizza.)
In any event, we know that networking is hard - and that's why we want to make it as easy and fun as possible. If you have any questions on Thursday's event, feel free to contact us! We'll see you
