In a recent post on the American Executive Centers' Facebook page and Blog, we shared information about The Shane Victorino Foundation, a terrific cause that helps underserved youth in Philadelphia and Shane's native Hawaii. As a client of ours and a Foundation we are committed to supporting through several fundraising events this year at our seven Centers, our involvement is already spreading a contagious high of inspiration and good feelings throughout our Centers. Witnessing Shane's raw emotions at the opening of The Shane Victorino Nicetown Boys & Girls Club was exceptionally moving for several of us at American Executive Centers who had the privilege of being a part of the celebration. Everyone attending the opening of the newly renovated and updated Club couldn't help but be inspired by seeing what it meant to Shane to fulfill his promise to Philadelphia's youth.
We have supported a number of causes throughout the years and it is always a rewarding and elevating experience for our staff and clients. The dedication of meaningful time, energy, and money is a true inspiration to everyone involved!
It was wonderful to be included in the ribbon cutting celebration. Shane Victorino is a baseball hero like the ones my Dad looked up to. He is all hustle - a true gentleman who is setting a great example for the kids of today by generously giving back to the community and helping the city's youth!
Meredith Cahill-Levy, American Executive Centers Sales Associate, stated in regard to her volunteer experience for the Shane Victorino Nicetown Boys & Girls Club Opening, "It was so nice to see what a wonderful job the money donated to The Foundation did for the Club. I can see how the Club would be a terrific place for kids to go so they can learn and build lasting friendships. It was also nice to see how moved Shane was by the event. To know that someone who came from humble means himself can still remain that way with all of his celebrity status is a refreshing change."
Kathy Fahy, Center City Manager for American Executive Centers, added, "It was very touching...the Club has been there for over 100 years and it is a safe place for the kids to go to keep them off the streets. It was also great to hear Shane say that years down the road the Club will be around and his children will be able to say, ‘look what my dad did!'...it was very emotional.
For business professionals thinking about getting involved in community goodwill...make the commitment! The good that it gives back to you and your team can not be overstated!
Next week, Oct. 12th, we celebrate Shane Victorino Day at American Executive Centers! We'll be serving up stadium food at noon in the boardroom at all of our seven Centers and raffling off an authentic Phillies baseball at each Center, signed by the "Flyin' Hawaiian." All proceeds will go towards the Shane Victorino Foundation! We think this is going to be a great way to spread the excitement and good feelings of giving back to the community with our staff and clients.
